Hillary is projected to win big in Kentucky and West Virginia. Why is this? Both states have a high percentage of people whom vote for social issues. Issues such as gay marriage, gun control, etc. They also fit Hillary's demographic.
"There was just an AP article posted that found how Sen. Obama's support among hardworking Americans, white Americans is weakening again, and how the whites in both states that have not completed college were supporting me," Clinton said in a USA Today interview May 7. (CNN)
Obama acknowledged she will win both states by double digits.
West Virginia is a coal state. It is asserted by CNN that the liberals could use Bushonomics as a tool to win votes. However, coal is performing well as is West Virginia's economy by extension.
Since the democrats can't use Bushonomics as an excuse to hate conservatives, they'll have to use other fear tactics. Especially when the conservative nominee is a white male war veteran.
What does this mean? It means Clinton will have a stronger argument for getting on the ticket as Barrack's running mate. The argument being that she'll offset some of the "scary black male liberal is going to take away your guns and send your money to big oil" image she portayed Obama as during the primary. Obama will either have to use Clinton as a running mate to gain the working class white vote, or find a "true" moderate democrat.
Behold, the Coal Vote

Posted by Jay | 5/09/2008 06:54:00 PM | Clinton, Hillary, McCain, Obama | 0 comments » A few months ago I read an article from www.wsbradio.com. It amused me so much I forwarded it to my boss. What was the article about? The reporter did a cross comparison of Obama and Hillary voters. What was her analysis of Hillary supporters? They are mostly uneducated working-class whites. This is a pc way of saying her supporters are mostly ignorant and broke.
*DISCLAIMER* NOT ALL HILLARY CLINTON SUPPORTERS ARE IGNORANT. Just most of you.
You know what? Bill and Hillary know it. Why else would Bill visit a rural town with a population of 200 and state "Hillary is here to support people like YOU in a place like THIS." Why else would Hillary pander to people's ignorance by promoting meaningless policy such as the gas tax holiday? Why else would she claim the ability to destroy OPEC?
Hillary Clinton is walking on the backs of the brazenly stupid. It almost worked. Although she is projected to win a few upcoming states, it is impossible to win more delegates than Obama.
Why am I discussing Hillary Clinton? One reason. There is a slim chance of her nominated as Obama's running mate.
This is not a new turn of events. After Super Tuesday, she offered Obama the "opportunity" to be her running mate. For the good of the party. Basically she said "Yeah, I know you have more delegates, but I've gotta try anyway."
In any event, there is a slim chance of this happening at the Democratic National Convention.
Why should I care? I'm a registered independent. I haven't a socialist tendency in my mind. After all, there is only a five percent difference between Clinton and Obama's policy. Hell, McCain isn't that much different from them.
None of the candidates have a solid plan to finance their various policy. Both Obama and Clinton (technically Clinton flip-flops on the issue) want to end the Bush tax cuts. They want to use this money to finance their healthcare plan. They want to use the same money to finance other policy. They want to use money saved from the Iraq war after the troops come home. Of course this is very optimistic. Congressional money will simply go somewhere else. There is no guarantee the money will go where either Democrat wants. There is not enough money to fulfill all of their campaign promises. They can finance some things, but not everything. McCain is also guilty. Then again, candidates using imaginary math is nothing new. It reminds me of fat women buying clothes. Both tend to employ alot of wishful thinking and/or blatant ignoring of reality.
Despite the similarities between the candidates, I must make a point. If Clinton runs with Obama, I will devote massive amounts of time to campaign for McCain.
I will form the coalition "Hillary You Crazy Bitch, Stay Away from the White House." The title is tentative. My working motto is "McCain: He isn't that crazy bitch Hillary."
Yes, McCain sponsored the gas tax holiday. Yes, the policy is useless. Regardless, he has one thing going for him. He isn't Hillary.
Obama could win should he nominate Hillary as his running mate.
Then again, he may drive independents toward McCain in record numbers.
